Travel Tunes

I finally figured out how to add music to my blog. (YEAH!) Now I just need the perfect travel tunes. Take a second and post your favorite travel tunes for the perfect roadtrip playlist. Personally I enjoy going old school when I go on the road. A road trip always gives you the time to listen to the music you haven't heard for years.

Here are my top five road trip artists:

1) Kid Rock
2) Sheryl Crow
3) Kenny Chesney
4) Rhianna
5) Madonna

Bryce Canyon National Park - First Half Marathon

Well, I finally ran my first half marathon! Yes, I ran all 13.1 miles without stopping. My mother-in-law will be the first to point out that I didn't quite take 1st place, but I think 534 out of 1400 is pretty darn good. haha

I was also able to visit Bryce Canyon National Park for the first time. It was breathtaking!

5 things I learned about running a half at Bryce Canyon.

1) The race is down hill, but easy on the knees.
2) Very few Americans can be found in the park. It's almost like searching for wildlife. (I thought I needed to learn Spanish, but now I need to learn French.)
3) It is actually possible for someone to run a 5 minute mile. I ran a 10 minute mile, so I am of course not talking about myself. :)
4) I would consider anyone over the age of 60 and under 13 that is able to run a half, my hero.
5) The red rock is amazing! The views are awesome!

Park City, UT

I spent the last week in Heaven on Earth. Park City, Utah is one of the most beautiful places I have been to. I would spend the day hiking, running, and laying out at the pool. Then the nights enjoying the nightlife with friends. Here are a few things I learned about Park City...

1) The hiking trails are like a work of art. (Literally)
2) A 3ft deep swimming pool for a 4 yr old that can't swim is PERFECT!!!
3) Everything tastes better in the mountains.
4) Hiking alone can be freaky.
5) The rollercoaster at Park City Resort is 10 x's better than the Alpine Slide or Zipline.

New York for U.S. Open

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” - St. Augustine
I feel like I haven't posted in awhile and so I'm loading pics from a trip I took last fall. Hope you enjoy...

5 Things I learned while in New York for the U.S. Open.

1) You really can see New York in 4 days.
2) New Jersey is GREEN, and lovely.
3) Watching Tennis is more fun on TV, but the U.S. Open Men Semi Finals still rock! (Hewitt, Federer, Agassi, Genepri)
4) Actors appear smaller in real life.
5) The hotdogs at the Museum of Natural History really are the best I've tasted.
